Hi Everyone, as you know my name is Cameron and I am a freshman this year at UNC. I went out on a limb and decided to try rowing for the first time in my life, and what do you know, I loved it. I decided to join the men's crew team here at UNC and look forward to this year of rowing and many more to come. Rowing has enabled me to meet a consistent group of friends, teammates, and given me the opportunity to get outdoors and row. This means that I get to participate in this year's Ergathon, an annual fundraiser for our team and a local nonprofit. During the Ergathon, our team gets together and places an erg in the middle of campus. We have 24 hours to see how far we can row as a team. Everyone will take a roughly 30-minute shift on the erg and participate in raising money for our team's equipment, regatta entries, and our team trip to train in Florida in the spring. The goal is to raise $30,000 as a team this year. A portion of the funds will also go to a local nonprofit called Eyes Ears Nose and Paws, which trains and cares for service dogs. Please help me and my entire team raise enough money this year to keep us out on the water and competing against the best!
