I have been rowing for around 8 years at this point and I love the sport. I started at Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, CT, and have hence graduated and moved on to join the UNC Men's Rowing Team based out of the the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Even though I have only been here for a little less than two months this place already feels like home and I am so excited to continue my rowing career here with this team! Rowing is an expensive sport and since we are a club the University does not give us sufficient funding to operate fully. For our Ergathon, we will be rowing a rowing machine on campus for 24 hours straight, each of us taking shifts, from midnight on October 14th to midnight on the 15th. We are asking for donations so that we may maintain our boats and fund training trips and regattas for the entire year. In addition, a portion of our proceeds will be going to Eyes Ears Nose and Paws, a local nonprofit organization that trains and cares for service dogs.
