Mentoring transforms lives. That's the mission of College Mentors, and when my career path took a new direction I connected with that mission immediately. This is why I chose  a new to give my time and talents as an associate director in the organization. I LOVE the duality of the program - not only does it expose kids to new opportunities, provide a caring college student mentor, and inspire them to achieve their dreams, it also allows college students to get involved in their communities and learn the importance of giving back.

I'm fundraising for College Mentors to support kids and mentors because I appreciate the full-circle moments that are created. We recently received an email from a former Ohio State University little buddy who is now attending Arizona State University and inquired about starting a College Mentors chapter at ASU. This former little buddy indicated that, 

“This program is a wonderful way to showcase being a role model and how to serve your community. I grew up in the inner-city schools and CMFK opened a new door for me. It granted me peace and resilience. It helped me realize I can make a difference in this world."
