Over the last few years, I saw my nephew diagnosed with cancer. This life changing event took a toll on them and was extremely difficult for him and his family. I wish they had someone like Camp One Step to take them to a happy place, reclaim their childhood and have a chance to be a normal family.

I will be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon to empower children diagnosed with cancer and their families. I am 40 years young and a mother of two beautiful kids. Professionally, I work with young special need kids. I have never run a full marathon before but there is no greater motivation than this beautiful cause. 

Team One Step supports Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.  One Step Programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope, strength, and empowerment. During the pandemic, Camp One Step pivoted to offer virtual camps so now they can serve more children than ever before- even in their hospital beds. 

I hope you will consider supporting my journey as I raise funds to support children diagnosed with cancer.
