IMHO, the best dogs are rescued! Since we have been married, Joe and I have adopted six pets who needed a new home: including Misty and BVSPCA Alum, Stormy.

I have volunteered for more than 6 years at the MDSPCA and BVSPCA, respectively. I am currently volunteering with a pawsome group of people at the BVSPCA, Georgetown Campus, in the spay/neuter clinic. This group of staff and volunteers are dedicated, caring, selfless, and driven to provide the best care for the animals that arrive at the clinic. In the brief time I have been volunteering with them, I have learned so much and have felt valued and appreciated as a volunteer.

Whether the staff and volunteers are interacting with the dogs and cats, hosting events, doing laundry (A LOT OF LAUNDRY), cleaning kennels, answering phones, greeting clients, or performing medical procedures, you can be sure they are passionate about the care they provide.

Now, here is where you come in... shelters need help! Volunteers, Fosters, Furever homes, and yes, donations!
