I love Disney and discovered a love for running when I signed up for my first 5k through Disneyland in 2016. In 2017 I discovered that not only could I do something I love in a place I love, but I could also make difference while doing it by running for a cause. I have had the opportunity to run 5ks in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World and am proud to have the opportunity to run for Dougie's team for autism during the comeback 5k in Disneyland in January 2024. This cause is close to my heart since my son and a close friend have recently been diagnosed with autism. We've learned so much about the wide variety of how autism presents since it is a spectrum and no two individuals present the same. I am looking forward to raising money for further research and resources to help anyone on the spectrum, as well as their families.
