I absolutely love Disney and I often pretend to be a runner - truthfully, I consider my self a slogger - a slow jogger but either way, I'm out there, moving a long.
By day (or night because I'm working the night shift, right now), I'm a local government first responder but on my off time, I can be found travelling, running, exploring local trails and stirring up shenanigans. Fun fact, I have one more Disney Park left to visit.
Tell your donors who you are and why you are running!
Hey everyone!
As most of you know, I'm an advid Disney fan and when RunDisney was running on the West Coast I was all over them! RunDisney recently released dates and bibs for their first half marathon in Disneyland in a long time. Unfortunately, I only got into the half marathon distance (my least favorite distance) but managed to score a 5k (my favorite runD distance - expect an awesome costume for the k5) Charity Bib thru Doug Flutie Jr's Foundation for Autism. Their mission is to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest!
I chose the Flutie Foundation's because of the challenges many of my friends who have a child on the spectrum face on a daily basis. I believe the Flutie Foundation's vision of "a world where people with autism lead productive lives where they are included, respected and actively engaged in their communities" is something we would all want for our children.
