Why I'm Running and Fundraising
Fundraising for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism combines my passion for runDisney and my commitment to making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism. This initiative holds great personal significance to me as it allows me to honor and support the countless students I have had the privilege of teaching over my 17-year journey as a public school teacher. Autism has touched the lives of many of these remarkable individuals, and through my running and fundraising efforts, I aim to raise awareness and contribute to the valuable work of the foundation in providing resources, support, and opportunities for individuals with autism and their families.
My husband and I often take our students on field trips to both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World to participate in Disney Imagination Campus workshops.
