We all know that dogs are Earth angels, and make the world a better place just by their existence. But Canine Companions' dogs go one step or paw if you will, forward, with 45+ learned skills to help children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. They can turn on lights, pick up dropped items, open doors, support anxiety, and more. And each service dog and lifetime of follow-up services is provided 100% free of charge, removing barriers to independence.
I'm participating in DogFest Washington because I love dogs (shocker) and know the joy they bring to our lives each and every day. Leading up to DogFest Washington, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible.
