Thank you for visiting our team page! We're fundraising for a cause that's very important to us - finding a cure for Scleroderma. Register, donate and walk with us on June 24 in Wicker Memorial Park in Highland. We'd love to see you there!
Some friends and family already know, but I was diagnosed with Scleroderma back in 2021. I noticed changes in my breathing while running. I didn't ignore the challenges I was experiencing, so I actually went to see a doctor (or many doctors, of course). They indicated I had Interstitial Lung Disease. They noticed scar tissue on the scans. Bloodwork tested positive for Scleroderma. This is typically skin related. In my case, however, the tissue was developing in my lungs.
With continuous help of my pulmonologist, rheumatologist, and the prescribed medications, I have things under control. These diseases treat everyone so differently.
Please join my family at the Highland, IN Walk to Cure Scleroderma! Register or donate to help those living with this disease and help research and education programs.
It's a pet-friendly event!
