Registration

Register as an Individual/Family or Team?

Here is the difference...

Individual/Family | Register yourself, partner and/or children altogether! You can choose to fundraise or simply participate in the walk.

You will be the primary registrant and messages will come to your email.

Team | The same as the Individual/Family except with this option you can ask family members, friends and colleagues to sign themselves up under your team. Create a team name and gather a group!

You will be the team captain. These folks registering under your team name will be able to enter their own email address to receive Hope Parade communications directly.

Getting Started with Fundraising, Donations & Teams

How do I start or join a team? 

Register by clicking "Register to Walk", then follow the online prompts. View our Team Registration & Captain Guide to help walk you through the process. Once you have registered, you will be asked if you wish to start or join a team. Fundraising participants will have the option to create a personal fundraising page. 

Do I have to fundraise?

Nope! If you’d like to just walk at the Hope Parade, that’s a great way to help NICU families too! 

What does it mean to be a Team Captain?

Team Captains help recruit and organize a team of walkers. Being a Team Captain is fun, easy, and incredibly impactful.

I'm thinking about signing up to fundraise to benefit families in our community, but I'm not quite sure how to do it?

How do I set up my fundraising page?

Your fundraising page is automatically created when you register for the walk. To customize it once you have logged in, click “My Fundraising Tools” where you can select “Edit My Page” or “Fundraising Dashboard” and follow the prompts to update your story, update your details, add a profile photo, create a custom URL, import email addresses and send fundraising emails. 

How do I make a donation to a specific walker?

If you want to sponsor a specific walker, you can find a full listing on the leaderboard or put the individual or team name in the search bar on the top left. If you prefer not to register, but wish to make a general donation, please use the "Donate Now!" button above. 

Next Steps & General Info

I’m done editing my page. What do I do next?

We recommend that you make the first donation to your fundraising page, if you haven’t already. Making the first donation demonstrates you’re invested in ICU baby's mission and encourages others to join you.

After that, we recommend emailing, texting and sharing your fundraising page with friends, family, coworkers and your social media channels asking them to support you by donating. Use our Fundraising Toolkit for fun ideas to help raise money for NICU families.

Where does the money go?

Proceeds raised from this event will futher ICU baby's mission to provide emotional, financial and informational support to families with a baby in the NICU. Click here to learn more about ICU baby's programs.

Can I join if I wasn't supported by ICU baby or didn't have a NICU experience?

YES!  This is a walk for everyone in our community who cares about helping local NICU families ... our neighbors!  

What if I can't physically participate in the ICU baby Hope Parade?

If you're unable to physcially participate in the Hope Parade, you can still fundraise to help support NICU families! Just register as you would if you were attending and then start personalizing your fundraising page to get the ball rolling!

How to Participate in Honor & in Memory of My Baby

I would like to register my NICU Grad to be part of the Hallway of Hope, where do I do that?

We are so glad you would like to participate in the Hallway of Hope. It is one of the most memorable parts of the Hope Parade! Your first step is to register to walk, then you should receive an email with the link to the Hallway of Hope Registration Form. Once you do, please fill it out and we will be in touch! If you have already registered and did not receive the email with the link to the form, you can check your fundraising page under resources. If you need any further assistance please contact Stacey at events@icubaby.org.

How do I register to participate in the Bereavement Ceremony?

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of honoring your baby. This ceremony is such a special moment for families and the entire NICU community. Please first register to walk, then you should receive an email with the link to the Bereavement Ceremony Registration Form. Once you do, please fill it out and we will be in touch. If you have already registered and did not receive the email with the link to the form, you can check your fundraising page under resources. If you need any further assistance please contact Stacey at events@icubaby.org.

Questions About the Zoo

Can I bring my pet? 

As per Zoo Miami's rules, "Sorry, no pets.  Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome (While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA)."
