Almost 5 and half years years ago, Carlos and I sat in a NICU room at South Miami with a tiny baby and more questions than answers. What helped us get through those tough moments was the amazing team around us. Not only the nurses and doctors and the ICU Baby staff, but also family and friends who came together to support our champ. 

Since then, "Lala's Team" has grown exponentially! Over the years, many of you have been "drafted" into being coaches, mentors, teammates, and fans, cheering her on from the "sidelines", celebrating her milestones, and offering care, assistance and so much love. We recognize and appreciate all the ways each of you has helped shape our strong, resilient, and fierce All-Star. 

In honor of all the MVP's in her life (like you!), our theme this year is sports.

We invite you to lace up your sneakers, wear your favorite team colors, and help us continue to raise funds and awareness for our NICU warriors. See you there!

Hace casi 5 años y medio, Carlos y yo estábamos sentados en una sala de la NICU en South Miami con una bebé diminuta y más preguntas que respuestas. Lo que nos ayudó a superar esos momentos difíciles fue el increíble equipo que nos rodeaba. No solo las enfermeras, los médicos y el personal de ICU Baby, sino también familiares y amigos que se unieron para apoyar a nuestra pequeña campeona.

Desde entonces, el "Equipo de Lala" ha crecido! A lo largo de los años, muchos de ustedes se han unido para ser sus entrenadores, mentores, compañeros y "fans", animándola, celebrando sus logros y ofreciendole su atención, asistencia y llenandola de amor. Reconocemos y apreciamos todas las formas en que cada uno de ustedes ha ayudado a que nuestra "All-Star" sea tan incredible, fuerte, y resiliente. 

En honor a todos los MVP en su vida (como ustedes!), nuestro tema este año es "deportes."
