We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the James W. Foley Freedom Run on Saturday, October 19th. This charity is particularly meaningful to us as it honors our dear friend Jim Foley, who tragically lost his life 10 years ago at the hands of ISIS terrorists. Jim was a close friend of Tim and Joanna from Marquette University (he was in their wedding party), as well as to many of our other friends (Jorge, Tomas, etc.). Each year, the Freedom Run is held in his memory to assist families with loved ones held captive abroad, to raise funds for education, and to support the Foley Foundation helping other families in need.
We are proud to lead this event since its inception. We encourage all Cervantinos to come together as a team and support this worthy cause by participating in the 5K/1K Virtual Run/Walk on Saturday, October 19th. In areas where we have enough team members, we would organize group runs at a specific time and location. Please coordinate with your Regional Team Captain for details. REMEMBER that the virtual run can be also done at your preferred location with the friends and family that register to your profile.
