The time has come for my annual request for your financial support of the Michigan Parkinson’s Foundation Hero Walk . I have walked for the past 11 years, even the covid year where we walked around downtown Williamston on a very cold day, staying six feet apart. I can no longer do the three mile walk as after 18 years of living with PD it has taken its toll on some of my abilities.
Every year you have come through and donated enough to make me the number one fundraiser in the Lansing area for the majority of those 11 years. This year a challenge has been made by Central Michigan University’s Physical Therapy students. That they will raise the most money in the Lansing Area. I’ll need all help I can get.
Lansing Area Parkinsons Hero walk will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024. At Michigan State University, People's Park (Behind Wells Hall) . This walk will take us through beautiful campus of Michigan State University on the banks of Red Cedar River.
I need you to join my team (TNT Dynamite) and fund raise or donate. I would really love to have you all come out and support me and my fellow Parky friends.
Michigan Parkinson’s Foundation is focused on Community, Exercise, Education and Respite. All funds go to helping those of us afflicted to live a full and meaningful life.
Registration will begin registration at 9:00 am and walk will begin at 10:00 am. There will be three options available as to the length of the walk for you to choose.
We will have fun activities for kids and adults.
