I was first introduced to water polo 7 months ago as a new 7th grade student in Kamehameha Schools. After my first season, I started to train with Honolulu Water Polo Club and was able to sharpen my skills with the help of my coaches & fellow teammates. In November, I had the honor of being asked to play for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Hawaiʻi zone team. After recently competing in the ODP National Championships at Chicago, only 4 boys from Hawaiʻi (including myself) were invited to attend the National Team Selection Camp (NTSC) where approximately 18-20 athletes will be selected to represent USAWP as a member of the Pipeline National Teams. Of the 18-20 athletes, only 13-15 athletes will be chosen to participate in both domestic and international competitions as a National USAWP team member.
