Aloha Kakou, My name is Konnor Chang, and I am a Junior at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama. I'm reaching out to you with both excitement and gratitude as I embark on a remarkable journey as a participant in this year's National Team Selection Training Camp (NTSC) as a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) This selection means a big deal to me because it identifies me as one of the top water polo athletes in the nation for my age group! Attending NTSC is an incredible opportunity for me to hone my skills alongside elite athletes and coaches from across the country. The NTSC also serves as a pivotal camp where approximately twenty athletes per age group will be selected to represent USAWP as a member of the Pipeline National Team! As a Native Hawaiian, being selected for NTSC is not just an honor but a testament to the dedication and passion I have poured into water polo. Starting my journey in middle school as a goalie and transitioning to play field full-time for the 2023 season has been a transformative experience, and the opportunity to represent the Hawaii Zone fills me with immense pride. However, this journey comes with its financial challenges. USA Water Polo requests each NTSC athlete to raise $1,425 to fund the program, as there is no outside support.
