I registered for Pink 13.1 because I want to make a real difference in the fight against breast cancer for Virginians. I have committed to walking 13.1 miles in Abingdon on October 19, 2024, and raising a minimum of $300. I need your help to do it! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
I am committed to helping people get service to "make the crucial catch" and detect breast cancer early. Screening and early diagnostic testing save lives as the survival rate of breast cancer is 98% when caught early.
This cause is important to me as both my mother-in-law and best friend survived breast cancer. Let's see more survivors in the world!
The money we raise through the Pink 13.1 is used to provide funding for screening and diagnostic breast health services for uninsured and underinsured in SWVA, individualized resource coordination, free breast health educational materials; newly diagnosed, caregiver, and survivorship packets and advocacy for improved health public policy and research dollars for the state. 100% of funds raised remain in Virginia to help Virginians.
