Where Your Money Goes
VBCF is doing important work across the entire state of Virginia. Each year there are 7,600 women and men in Virginia who are diagnosed with breast cancer and 1,150 women and men who die from breast cancer.
The money we raise through events like the Power of Pink Luncheon is used to empower Virginians impacted by breast cancer through access, advocacy, education, and community action. VBCF offers free breast health education and resources; support kits for newly diagnosed patients, caregivers, and survivors; and advocates for improved health care and breast cancer research dollars for the state.
In 2022, VBCF established a Screening and Diagnostic Services Fund. Since then, VBCF has invested $491,000 to provide mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies, and more to uninsured and underinsured women and men in Virginia. VBCF has designated $50,000 to establish a metro Richmond fund in 2024 and this luncheon will help us add to this fund.
VBCF is a 501(c) 3 organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service with federal tax identification number 54-1633519. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
