Why I Walk

29 years ago I found myself in the emergency room 26 weeks pregnant and in excruciating back pain. Since a few weeks prior I loss my son's twin I thought I was in labor. My blood pressure was as high as 220/118 when I came in and I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. After trying for approximately 12 hours to lower my blood pressure unsuccessfully, I was rushed into an emergency c-section and told my son would not make it and that the efforts were to save my life! Well both my son and I are survivors and this is why I walk!
