Each and every one of us has been affected by cancer in one way or another; a parent, a spouse, a child, a sibling, a friend, a neighbor, or a co-worker. Cancer is an awful disease! If you haven't experienced it firsthand, consider yourself lucky. Cancer is ruthless, and has no boundaries. My son John Baker was diagnosed in May 2018 at age 18. For two years John fought metastatic osteosarcoma, but lost the battle in March 2020. With the assistance of Purple Plunge and other amazing organizations, John had many positive experiences while undergoing treatment.
We may not be able to stop cancer, but we can offer support and provide some relief to individuals with a cancer diagnosis. That is why I am participating in the 11th Annual Purple Plunge.
