Did you know that more than 29 million Americans will experience an eating disorder in their lifetime and every 52 minutes someone dies as a direct result of their eating disorder? Unfortunately, less than ⅓ will ever receive access to care. The National Alliance for Eating Disorders, the leading national nonprofit for eating disorders, has worked tirelessly over the past two decades to change these statistics.
On Saturday, July 13th, I will be co-hosting the National Alliance for Eating Disorders' NOT ONE MORE: Rally for Recovery, San Diego. Please support me as I join this global movement to ensure that NOT ONE MORE life is lost, NOT ONE MORE child is taken, and NOT ONE MORE precious moment is destroyed by this insidious disease.
When I take the stage to lead this event, I will be doing it for little Sharon. She suffered silently for 19 years without a diagnosis and without treatment. I have chosen to recover loudly for other little Sharon's out there, so they don't have to battle this insidious disease alone. I hold hope and fight for a better tomorrow for all the little Sharon's out there.

I am now in a place of solid, sustained recovery, thanks to the community support I received along the way. I have witnessed the powerful healing that comes from community. As a direct beneficiary of community support, it is my hope that this event I have created in partnership with The Alliance will help the San Diego eating disorder community know they don't have to do this alone. There is support. There is healing. There is hope.
Proceeds from this event will directly fund The Alliance's free, weekly, therapist-led, virtual LGBTQ+ support group! In 2023 alone, more than 20,500 individuals from all 50 states and 83 countries around the world attended Alliance groups.
The Alliance is the only national nonprofit organization that provides free, weekly, therapist-led eating disorders support groups; a free therapist-staffed helpline, providing support and referrals for all levels of care; low-cost therapeutic services for uninsured and underinsured individuals; and unique and empowering Southern Smash events. Simply put, The Alliance saves lives.
Please consider donating to my page so that I can help The Alliance continue to make a difference nationwide!
