Our Story
Our family lost our daughter Sloane to complications associated with congenital heart defects in October 2017. Sloane’s twin brother Lincoln loves to ride his bike. In fact, our whole family loves cycling. In the spirit of action and activism we are committed to keeping her memory alive by inviting you to join us in this virtual cycling event. Please dedicate a bike ride to Sloane. Because part of this event is virtual you can choose your own location, start time, and distance! We know that this event will raise awareness and will help to fund research that gives other babies a chance at survival.
About Our Logo: The children on the bike represent our twins - Lincoln and Sloane. The purple butterfly is a symbol used in some hospitals where a sticker is placed on the bassinet to identify an infant that was part of a multiple-birth where at least one sibling didn’t survive.
