The last 3 1/2 years have been such a whirlwind for our family. Jameson’s diagnosis, Dravet Syndrome, has forever changed our family. Jameson’s disease takes a toll, and not just for the seizures. He is a very bright, energetic, board game loving kid, who has a HUGE heart for others and loves his family. He has a heart for Jesus that shines so bright when saying his prayers at night. Jameson’s full blown seizures have decreased since he was first diagnosed, but we have recently learned that he is having mini seizures during the phase of falling asleep and also the phase of waking up. During these phases he is having mini seizures every 60 seconds. Right now, Craig and I happily are able to consistently give Jameson Church and school. He is in a beautiful ASD class and is thriving in school!! I genuinely love watching him read. In our Dravet world, I wasn’t sure if these two things would happen, this is such a beautiful blessing we don’t take for granted. We are so so grateful for those of you who have endlessly supported us….which a lot of times that just simply is allowing us to freely let the tears come, or a listening ear to hear our heart. Support like that we will be eternally grateful for. Though we are trying to financially raise funds to better help our Jameson man and others like him in our Dravet world, what we really need is your continued prayers.
