     God's blessings of good health to all.  Life is good.

    In June of 2013, I was surprisingly diagnosed with Parkinson's. For one year, I tried to live without medications until my neurologist told me medication would improve my quality of life. For ten years, I have taken over 20 pills per day to reduce tremors, help with rigidity and allow me to function better.  This June (2024), after much testing for approval, I decided to have Deep Brain Stimulation surgery which was physically demanding and challenging.  The neurosurgeon carefully followed through on the procedure all the while I shook like an earthquake!  Then, the miracle happened: no tremors, no heavy legs, no rigidity.  Now with my system in place, I am beginning to reduce the amounts of medications to help me fight off dementia, to help me live more fully and remember that life is good.

     It is so very humbling receiving all the support and love that I feel everyday from family and friends.  I  could not do all this without you.  Now, please join me in raising money for Parkinson's research to aid others like myself.  This is our fifth year of "Troublemaking" and we again hope to reach our $5000 goal and maybe knock that even farther out of the park.
