Educational equity. I am not sure I even knew what that meant 15 years ago when I first started with Minds Matter. Now it is all I can think about, work towards and honestly pray for. It has been an honor to be part of this organization and I am so excited about our future and how we are growing. Now more than ever before, the work we do is critical. Minds Matter Southern California fills this gap - and we want to do it for more students! The challenges low-income, first generation students face are growing and often create fear in students about their future. From the FAFSA debacle to the Affirmative Action decision, the hurdles keep coming. We are in the 1st year of our growth plan and serving almost 20% more students than last year.
