The Malak Series Tuna relay is a 200 or 70 mile relay from just outside Raleigh to Atlantic Beach, NC.  Whether you are a seasoned runner or someone that just likes being active outdoors, there is a distance for you!  

Register to Race through The Malak Series website then fundraise for Dementia Alliance of North Carolina right here!  

Simply click on the Register to Fundraise box and create a fundraising team.  Invite your team members, friends and family to join you in raising money as we race for a world without dementia!

Dementia Alliance of North Carolina is proud to partner with the Malak Series. Teams can raise money for one of these great charities and get up to a 100% refund of your team registration fee.  The details are as follows:

For the Tuna Relay /200:

  • Any team that raises $3500 for either charity will receive a 100% refund of their team registration fee.
  • Any team that raises $1800 for either charity will receive a 50% refund of their team registration fee.

For the Tuna Relay /70:

  • Any team that raises $2100 for either charity will receive a 100% refund of their team registration fee.
  • Any team that raises $1100 for either charity will receive a 50% refund of their team registration fee.

ABOUT US!

Dementia Alliance of North Carolina seeks to improve the lives of North Carolinians impacted by dementia as well as empower their caregivers through support, education and research.

Each program is built on a foundation of CARE that provides Comfort, Assistance, Resources and Education for individuals and families living with dementia.

As a result, we are able to provide a high degree of personal support throughout the entire journey with dementia. Dementia Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving families in North Carolina.

Here is the impact your donation can make: 

  • $25 provides an hour of respite for an overwhelmed caregiver. 

  • $50 provides an hour-long online support group .

  • $100 provides personalized consultation with one of our compassionate Dementia Navigators.

  • $300 gives a person living with dementia a Music and Memory at Home Kit providing connection and joy.

  • $500 provides training and materials for new support group facilitators.

  • $1,000 provides a free educational webinar to 50 caregivers.
