Walk for Epilepsy Hillsborough
Saturday, April 6, 2024
Al Lopez Park
Tampa, FL
Reg: 8:30 am | Walk : 9:15 am
This event is held to increase awareness and support for children, teens, young adults with epilepsy and their families living in West Central Florida.
What happens at the Walk for Epilepsy?
Participants will meet at shelter 315 at Al Lopez Park. Look for the feather banners with the Epilepsy Services Foundation logo!
Once you check in you will proceed to pick up your official 2024 Walk for Epilepsy T-shirt. Then there will be vendor tables you can visit, snacks you can pick up and you can get your picture taken with the Great Explorations Childrens Museum’s mascot, Morris the Explorasaurus!
Are you able to do something to improve your quality of life? Can you take one extra step to do something you haven’t done before? This year we are partnering with Sail for Epilepsy to take the One More Step challenge. Sign up for the challenge in advance or sign up on the day of the event.
Don’t forget to check out the raffle prize tent! Be sure to bring extra cash if you would like to take a chance at winning any of the raffle prizes!
Our DJ, Jason Lanning, from Bay News 9 will lead us in some warmups to tunes provided by our DJ. Then we will all head out to do a one-mile Walk for Epilepsy! The walk begins and ends at shelter 315 in Al Lopez Park.
The walk will end back at the event area where raffle winners will be announced, and we can all congratulate each other on completing the 2024 Walk for Epilepsy Hillsborough!
Learn more about Sail for Epilepsy and joining the One More Step Challenge once you complete your registration.
