On Saturday, June 1, 2024 I will participate in True Care's Heroes' Walk for Life.  This is a fundraiser for one of my favorite non-profits, True Care Women's Resource Center. Many of you know that I had the privilege of leading this life-affirming organization for 23 years before retiring in 2022.   

The good news is that more than 70 unborn lives have been saved from abortion so far this year through the work True Care is doing!  The bad news is that Casper now has an abortion clinic that has been taking the lives of the unborn for more than a year.  I, along with many other volunteers, spend a few hours each week standing in the alley behind the abortion clinic on abortion days peacefully praying and trying to encourage the women who go there to consider other options.  It's a real challenge as we endure angry words and gestures from the abortion clinic staff and their volunteer "escorts."  

I truly believe that no pregnant woman should feel so alone and hopeless that she considers taking the life of her unborn child as her only option.

The battle for life has certainly heated up here in Casper! Now, more than ever, it is vital that True Care has the resources it needs to ensure that women have all the relevant information necessary to make an informed decision about the outcome of their pregnancies--before they head to a place that will give them only one option.
