There are more than 750,000 people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) waiting for critical services in order to live safe, healthy, and enriched lives within their communities. The system they rely on to provide the services they so desperately need is broken, and getting worse each passing day. They are faced with a housing, programs, and workforce crisis. They oftentimes don't have access to comprehensive, quality medical care. As a society, we have simply replaced one form of seclusion and institutionalization of our fellow citizens living with I/DD, with another.
We need your help to bring our loved ones out of the shadows and ensure they have access to safe and affordable housing, day programs and job training, a qualified workforce of support providers, and access to needed medical care.
The Colin Farrell Foundation is focused on bringing transformative change to individuals and families living with I/DD, specifically:
