Robert Wyland

Internationally renowned marine life artist Wyland is an innovative painter, sculpture, writer, photographer, philanthropist, and filmmaker. He captured the imagination of people everywhere by completing over one hundred monumental marine life murals around the world from 1981-2008. The project, known as the Whaling Walls, remains one of the largest public arts projects in history and continues to be seen by an estimated one billion people each year.

An avid SCUBA diver and world traveler, the Detroit-born artist has been hailed as a "Marine Michaelangelo" by USA Today and recognized for his art and conservation efforts by the United Nations and on the floor of Congress. Wyland's early inspiration grew upon seeing the ocean for the first time during a family visit to Laguna Beach, Calif., in 1971, when he was fourteen years old.

In 1993, he founded the non-profit Wyland Foundation as part of his continuing effort to inspire millions of people to take action to ensure clean water and a healthy planet through art, science, and conservation. Today the artist is one of the most collected and appreciated artists in the world with artwork in museums, corporate collections, private homes and more than 100 countries.

Teresa Espaniola

Born in California, I spent half of my life here and half in Hawaii, with a 5-year stint in Colorado before moving back to SoCal. Coronado is the perfect home for me. My love of the ocean and my love of color guides me to create paintings of places to immerse myself in – whether a beach scene, a mountain landscape, or a spot under the sea. Looking at these scenes brings me peace, and I like to think they do the same for others. If I could, I would embed the sounds of the waves or the wind into the artwork.

Matt Swinden 2.png

Matt Swinden

I have had a camera in my hands since high school in the early 1980’s – that’s pre-digital for some of you -- and I am constantly in awe of the world that we live in. With my wife Marlis by my side, I have traveled throughout North America, Europe and most recently Asia. My specialties are in the areas of Fine Art, Landscape, Wildlife, Travel, Nature, and People. I have sat with Elk grazing in Yellowstone, produced a smile from an elderly caretaker off a cliff top church in Sicily, waited for hours for a pod of Killer Whales that never appeared only to be spellbound by a lighthouse and a sunset, and to have been licked by a hungry giraffe.

My images have been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Lonely Planet travel books, and CNN to name a few.
