I spent a bulk of my career as a school counselor working in the Buchtel Cluster, where I had the privilege of supporting students and families As a west Akron native, giving back to my community has always been a personal priority and passion.
Name of your favorite teacher and what made the person special to you: My favorite teacher is Miriam Green. She taught me how to type - a skill that propelled my success in every career endeavor. More than a teacher she became a trusted colleague and a dear friend.
What were some of your most enjoyable times in school? Some of my best high school memories were as a pom-pom girl cheering at football games and celebrating with my friends our state championships in football and basketball.
Looking back over the years, what advice would you give to your high school self or college self? Keep going, keep asking for help and count myself in because it all is going to happen
