In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:
I’m excited to be running for U2FP and supporting those with spinal cord injuries who now live with paralysis. This organization embodies resilience and a true passion for making a difference, advocating for improved quality of life for those affected by paralysis.
I’m running in honor of my aunt Lisa and my cousin Erica. My aunt, who lived with MS,
suffered a stroke when she was seven months pregnant, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of her life. Despite everything, she raised Erica with incredible strength and love. Erica is now 21 and grew up alongside her mom, who faced many challenges navigating life in a wheelchair but always displayed determination and joy. My aunt passed away this year, and I’m dedicating this effort to honor her memory and to show support for my family during this time of loss.

Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?
Yes, this is my first ever Marathon! I ran 1 half marathon but that was years ago.
What do you crave after a long run?
Water and probably Doritos hehe
Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?
YES!!! Love music!! Hozier, Noah Kahan, T Swift, and Gracie Abrams
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?
Excited to run through the city and be inspired by others! Nervous about the training.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love running, practicing yoga, and staying active outside!! Also love spending time with family and friends, and hanging with my 2 little nephews:))

I am so incredibly grateful and honored to be part of this mission. Thankful for my family and friends that support me and looking forward to building the strength for this race!
