Why are you choosing to run in support of U2FP?
I'm running in support of U2FP because I believe in their mission of empowering the spinal cord injury community. The work they do is meaningul, and I'm honored to help support them. I had an incredible experience fundraising for the NYC Marathon in 2024, where I met a lot of great people who shared a common goal: to make a difference. I'm excited to take on that challenege again with U2FP, and believe this cause is worth every step.
Is this your first marathon/race? If not, what others have you completed?
I ran the NYC Marathon on 11/3/24 (4:23:41) and the LA Marathon on 3/16/25 (4:16:51)!
What do you crave after a long run?
A HUGE breakfast (eggs, turkey bacon, fruit, sweet potato tater tots, etc.)
Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?
I have one big marathon playlist that I keep updated with new music. I like listening to music while I do my training runs, but on race day I typically only listen to a handful of songs so that I can listen to the crowd and take it all in.
What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?
I have a VERY aggressive PR goal for this race, and I'm starting training late. Since it’s a flat course, my goal is to run a sub-4 hour marathon, which would be a 21 minute 51 second PR.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Running, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family and boyfriend!
