As a speech-language pathologist I’ve been able to work closely with individuals who have been affected by spinal cord injuries. I’ve seen the impact that spinal cord injuries can have on a person, but I’ve also been able to witness the resilience and determination of many individuals. I’ve seen first hand the gains that individuals are able to make when they are provided with the proper education, research, support, and tools. I want to continue to be a part of the efforts for continued advocacy, support, and research regarding spinal cord injuries.
