I’m thrilled to be participating in 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon with Team One Step!

This will be my 4th marathon running for Team One Step.

After losing both of my parents to cancer, I knew that I was going to give back to the cancer community. I started volunteering with Camp One Step in 2007 as a counselor at Summer Camp in the Standard Program. I am now the Program Leader for Standard Camp, which is our Summer Camp for camper ages beween 7 and 10. 

I am also the Co - Director for our Sibling Camp. Sibling camp is for the patients siblings. 

Camp One Step brings the magic back into these kids lives. Campers have a chance to meet other kids who understand what they are going through. At camp, cancer isnt the focus, its the kids! They make life long connections with each other. Its a bond like no other. 

At Camp, its about fun (and safety). Camp provides a fun filled week! Campers go swimming in the lake, fishing, arts and crafts, go on boats. The list goes on. It is the best place ever! 

Team One Step supports Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Camp One Step Programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope.
