My daughter, Alexa, had a few visits in the Steinbrenner Emergency Department in June and spent a few nights at the hospital. We had a visit from Liz in Child Life and she was amazing with Alexa. Giving her the empathy and attention she needed and walking her though needle pokes and necessary scans. 

Like Alexa, children never expect to be in a hospital, but when they are - we want to make the experience as positive and child-focused as possible. This Christmas in July campaign raises funds and toys for St. Joseph's Children's Hospital to support our Child Life Team. This team brings art therapy, play therapy, pet therapy, and toys to our youngest patients to celebrate medical milestones and celebrations. Thank you for giving and helping us love on sick kids.
