I have worked for this amazing organization for almost seven years. In that time I have been witness to so many wonderful “happy tails". The "happy tails" stories are from adopters who are thrilled to have added a new member to their family (you may have seen many of these "Happy Tails" if you follow CVHS on social media). What you may not know is there are many other “behind the scenes” stories too: stories of how a person was no longer able to care for their beloved pet and brought him/her to CVHS because they wanted this pet to have a second chance for happiness. Stories of the local veterinarians performing medical, and often times life saving procedures for the animals that have been taken in by CVHS. Stories of our wonderful CVHS Adoption Counselors who spend so much time, energy and love to work on an animal's special needs and then, when ready, match that pet with the perfect human. Stories of our local Volunteer community that take on newborn puppies or kittens that require round the clock care. So many stories over these years...and these stories will continue with your support. CVHS is a local, independent, non-profit organization…funded solely by our community of caring people.
