Why I run for Team Fired Up

I chose to run for Dragon Master Initiative to honor the founder, Amanda Haddock. Her dedication and perserverance are matched only by her kindness and generosity.  I remember years ago when she met with my husband and myself to pitch her really big idea of a new kind of cancer research foundation. After the loss of her teenage son to brain cancer, she was determined to make a difference in cancer treatment for young cancer patients. Her remarkable idea to create an open source genomic database was groundbreaking, and will make tremendous advancements in cancer treatment. Her individual attention to families of children dealing with cancer has also been an amazing gift. For these reasons, I will run for Dragon Masters Iniative.
