Doing the Dopey Challenge has been a goal of mine. I was to run teh Doepy in 2021 but because of COVID I was unable to do so. However, I did not give up on my goal. I tried again to get into the 2023 Dopey and it was full before I even got to register. I, then discovered that charities are affiliated with the race and reach out to many of them and was on the waitlist. I still was not able. Still not giving up, I decided that I want to do the Dopey for my 50th birthday (fingers-crossed to getting in), which is in January 2025 a few days before the Dopey. 

When I received the email from Amanda about being interested in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in 2025, I did not hesitate on responding. I got truly excited when I received another email from Amanda with subject Dopey registration. Praying here's my chance. 

For me, running for a charity is much more enjoyable than just registering and doing the Challenge. I chose this Dragon Master because of it being affiliated with medical research. I work as a Pharamcy Technician as the Investigational Drug Specialist. I love deal with clinical trials each day. The thought of knowing that we are working hard to find cures for these diseases, makes me happy. Knowing that there are options for our patients when there may not be any other option. Being a part of the clinical trial process (even though I am on the dispensing and preparation side), is a big part of me. I truly have a passion for clinical/medical reserch.
