You might be wondering what I mean by "going Goofy." Let me explain. Over the next nine months, I'm embarking on a personal challenge that's as tough as it is meaningful. I'll dedicate my time, energy, and passion to raising funds and awareness for Dragon Master Initiative. My challenge? Train and run 39.3 miles in January, also known as runDisney’s Goofy Challenge. This grueling event takes place at Walt Disney World in Florida which includes a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a full marathon (26.2), back-to-back consecutive days! If you know me, I've always said I'd never run a marathon. But now, I'm pushing myself to do it for myself and for those who may never get the chance.

I have been a runDisney charity runner for the past 4+ years for Dragon Master Initiative (DMI). DMI is a nonprofit organization that accelerates cures for childhood cancer and other rare diseases through collaboration and innovation. The organization's mission is to expedite research, development, and treatments while improving patients and their families quality of life. 

This isn't just about running for me. It is about making a difference. I am taking my running to the next level, pushing beyond my personal fitness and health goals. I'm doing this to make a positive impact on society and to help children with cancer. This running challenge is a way for me to show my commitment to this cause and demonstrate that I am willing to go the extra mile, quite literally, to support the Dragon Master Initiative and its mission.
