We all know someone who has been or is currently suffering from cancer and the older I get, the more that number increases and the stories become more and more personal. When I decided to choose an organization to support, I chose the Dragon Master Foundation #1 because the sharing and use of data is what will find a cure for the multitude of cancers and #2 Dragons are cool! (Truly, who doesn't think that?)

In all seriousness though, when we saw people come together during the pandemic to share and solve,   Find a vaccine, find a cure, it reinforced that we do make things happen together. The cure for cancer needs to found the same way. 

After a scare, my road to health journey started in 2023 (92 pounds lost) and continues in 2024. Training for the Dopey Challenge (virtual) last year really helped me focus and gave me benchmarks to hit which were impossible less than a year earlier. I promised  myself that for this year, I would train more and this year be able to complete the Dopey Challenge in faster times and in-person which is very daunting given how many athletes will be there. 

What the Dragon Master Foundation does is very important yet is not a household name and therefore needs support. I made a commitment of a fundraising goal the day I chose the Dragon Master Foundation and to prove how important this is, I covered it my ownminimum. I am asking for others to also put their support into this Foundation and do the same so we can find the cure. We can do it and thank you!
