My family is definitely a Disney Family and I am a relatively new and avid runner/adventure seeker! Combining Disney and Running for an Epic weekend in Orlando has been a dream of mine ever since I learned about the Dopey Challenge! 

I am excited to fundraise in support of a Cure for Childhood Cancer. My wife and I have been blessed with 3 healthy children and have great compassion towards children and families impacted by cancer. I watched my father battle brain cancer while we were pregnant with our first child and his life was ultimately cut short. He got to spend 10 months with my son and we cherish that time we were given. I pray for the day when a cure for cancer or at least  better treatment for all or certain types of cancer is discovered.

Having my father pass in his early 50s has had a great impact on the way I live my life and how my wife and I teach our kiddos to live life to it's fullest. I got into endurance sports and leading a more active lifestyle a handful of years after my father passed and I know how proud of me he would be if he could see my recent accomplishments. I enjoy the physical and mental challenge of long distance running and the lessons it teaches me about my limits and what the human body is capable of!
