This year, I’m running the Dog Day 5K in memory of my soul dog, Tibby, who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on June 7.

Tibby was my first C.A.R.E. dog, adopted in fall of 2018. She was fearful of everything and clearly needed time to come out of her shell. With lots of patience and treats, Tibby blossomed into a velcro dog and my best friend. Because of her, my husband and I adopted two more C.A.R.E. dogs (Ringo & Cricket).

Anyone who knows me knows I have a soft spot for pitties. Their goofy smiles, loyal hearts, and resilience have forever earned my love. By donating to C.A.R.E. in Tibby's honor, you're helping more pets like her get the second chances they deserve. 

I'm looking for at least 5 people to join my Pacing for Pitties Team to raise $500 which will support C.A.R.E.'s larger goal of raising $5,000 at the event. If a 5K isn't for you, please consider donating. Whether you walk, run, or cheer from afar, every step helps make a difference.
