I'm participating in DogFest Bay Area 2025 because my journey with Canine Companions has shown me firsthand the incredible impact these dogs make. Over the past 3 years, I've had the privilege of raising 2 future service dogs; watching one go on to become a BREEDER and seeing the other matched with a teenager in Portland, Oregon. There's nothing quite like knowing you played a part in changing someone's life.
As a member of the regional board, I've witnessed countless graduation ceremonies where the bond between a person with disabilities and their new Service Dog is formed. These moments remind me why this mission matters so much, Canine Companions provides these expertly trained service dogs completely FREE of charge to adults, children, and veterans who need them.
Leading up to DogFest Bay Area 2025, I'm raising money because I know exactly where these funds go and the lives they'll touch. From the puppy I held as an eight-week-old ball of fur to the confident service dog walking across the graduation stage, every dollar helps make that transformation possible.
