Howard and I are participating in DogFest Bay Area 2025 to support Canine Companions. I believe deeply in their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs—free of charge—to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities.
Canine Companions has changed my life. They’ve given me three amazing dogs—Honey II (February 2003), Huey III (February 2016), and Howard VII (November 2024)—and each one has brought me more independence, safety, and unconditional love than I could have imagined. These dogs do more than assist with tasks; they restore confidence, ease daily struggles, and bring joy and companionship to everyday.
