It's the time of year when I ask for your help to change the course of someone's life as so many others changed mine. I'm participating in DogFest Washington DC 2025 - 12th Annual event because I have several health issues; I'm 75 years young and the only reason I can remain living independently is because of my service dog. In 2023 was matched with my 3rd service dog, Samantha, a beautiful yellow labrador retriever who picks up things I drop, retrieves my cell phone for me, she navigates the world expertly right next to me whether I'm using a walker or a skooter, she toilets on command so I don't have to walk her long distances, she helps me dress and undress and she provides me with constant companionship which is so vital to my overall wellbeing. Additionally, she has been instrumental in my ability to educate people about service dogs. She is just amazing!

I whole heartedly believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge. 

Leading up to DogFest Washington DC, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. No donation is too small, every penny I raise will help get these amazing service dogs trained and matched with individuals who are living with disabilities and struggling to regain their independence.
