While I’m not sure that “celebrating” Parkinson’s disease is the right word, I will never stop raising awareness and generating support for all of us affected by it.
August 8, 2023, is a date I will never forget. Living with Parkinson’s was never something I imagined, and the journey has been filled with both visible and invisible challenges.
Every morning, I wake up to stiffness and fatigue—a constant reminder of how much I rely on the love and strength of my family and friends. The symptoms people see are only part of the story; what often goes unseen are the emotional ups and downs that unfold throughout the day.
There are many days when even simple tasks—like putting on pants—feel overwhelming. Still, I will not give up on living life to the fullest and spreading positivity.
To everyone who has stood by me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and supported me—thank you! I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such a caring and uplifting community.

This walk benefits the Michigan Parkinson Foundation (MPF), whose mission is to ensure that no person with Parkinson’s in Michigan—and their families—goes without quality care and support.
Your Impact:

MPF’s respite care program grew from $10,000 in 2018 to $283,000 and 13,885 hours of care provided to 176 families in 2024.

Over 13,500 individuals have participated in MPF exercise classes.

More than 2,100 people have benefited from statewide educational programs.
Thanks to people like you, MPF has been able to say “YES” to everyone who needed help.
