I only heard about this opportunity thanks to my younger sister and her roommate. Little did I know that this is run by the mother of one my friends who passed away many years ago due to brain cancer. I didn't go to school with him for very long, but the classes I had with him were always delightful and he was always one of the kindest people in the school. I wasn't best friends with him or anything like that, but I often think about how great of a human being he was, even as a younger child. I'm running this 10k in his memory, and his name was David Pearson.
