I run for Jim because he was my nephew, and I loved him very much. His long captivity in Syria and brutal murder by ISIS rocked our whole family. Jim's mother and my sister-in-law, Diane Foley, founded the James Foley Legacy Foundation following Jim's death. Diane has worked tirelessly to keep Jim's legacy alive by working hard to fulfill the foundation's mission of freeing US hostages held abroad and promoting safety for journalists. I believe strongly in this mission, which is another important reason why I've been involved in the NH Foley Freedom Run/Walk since its inception 11 years ago.
