Last year, I learned about the tragic circumstances of James Foley's death that occurred in Syria in 2014. His story and senseless loss of life made a lasting impact on me and has stayed with me ever since. I'm running and raising money for his foundation to keep his memory alive and to also pay tribute to the other victims who subsequently had their lives taken while in captivity with James. The world can be cruel and unforgiving; by taking part in this, I hope to spread kindness, help the foundation, and remind people there is still so much good in the world.
